Local Wildlife

It's not a question of "if" you'll see wildlife, but "what" and "how many!"  Most days you'll find mule deer or even elk exploring the local flora of the Upper Canyon. Stay alert for those black bears too! Most will be minding their own business in the hours around dusk and dawn, but please keep your distance - especially if you see cubs!  Wild horses and turkeys are often found meandering the neighborhood and are a frequent visitor to the cabin.  A variety of birds will provide the perfect background symphony and hummingbirds are frequent at certain times of year.
